As per Forrester Research report, the global recession made a negative impact not only to the IT budget, it also compelled software vendors to make their price more customer friendly. The survey was conducted on 12 Enterprise Software during final quarter of 2008 and first quarter of 2009.
SAP made an agreement recently with the user group regarding Key Performance Indicators to ensure full featured service as well as enhanced enterprise support. Forrester also says that vendors made different types of policy changes recently in addition to price negotiation.
Enterprise Software vendor Lawson Software enhanced the customer support that includes global, 247 Customer support in addition. Microsoft also introduced Premier Mission Critical Support and multiyear payment plans for Dynamics CRM (customer relationship management) and ERP applications. Deltek, software vendor for businesses like construction and aerospace, has made simplified price offering and standard maintenance and support fees for all modules at 18 percent, according to Forresters report.
